Listen to the Songs of the Humpback Whale

Here's our chance to give something back to you! These are actual recordings of humpback whales in the ocean. Four samples are available for your listening pleasure. Hearing a humpback whale song is definitely a unique experience that you won't want to miss if you're interested in learning about these wondrous creatures. We invite you to listen to these songs. Reproduction or redistribution of this material is prohibited.

Requirements: All you need is a computer with a sound card, and speakers (make sure they're turned on). All PCs running Windows can understand WAV files. So can most Macs.

Which File Format is For Me? There are four different songs, and each song is available in two different formats.

• Songs in WAV format can be downloaded and played immediately, and will take 2-4 minutes to download through a 28.8 modem.
• Songs in ZIP format take only 1-3 minutes to transfer over a 28.8 modem, but you'll need to extract them using an unzipping program before you play them. If you're not sure if you have an unzipping program, use the WAV file instead
